Hunter class?
Dont throw this in the garbage can yet... Finish reading this thread first.
Ive been playing GW for some time and have seen all the evolving, including the creation of Sorrow's Furnace, The Guild Wars Factions and Nightfall releases and the opening of the Domain of Anguish.
The class I now have in my head is inspired by the Ranger and the Assasin class, and really makes the Weapon sets useful.
So here we go:
The Hunter class is using both the Bow and the Daggers as weapons. The skills are mostly Attack skills and some kind of +armor skills. They use the Bow to aggro monsters, and maybe run around with them and kill them. They would be a very fast proffession, which might make it a little hard to play, but fun. They would have some great speed in running and using skills, but with a low amount of Energy and armor.
Attributes:
Nature Powers Would increase the speed of the Hunter with about +5% per level.
Bow Mastery Would add the damage of their bow attacks, and is also used for bow skills, which can also be used while running.
Dagger Attacks (Got no good name for it, since Dagger Mastery is already taken...) Would increase the attack damage of the dagger skills, which would be slower than the Assasins attacks, and more like the warriors.
Survival Techniques Since the Hunter has low amount of armor, this attribute would increase the skills helping him survive in battle, and regen fast afterwards.
A typical skill for each attribute (Note that Nature Powers wont have any skills.):
Shoot for Survival Bow/Run attack. While Running, shoot an arrow backwards against your target which strikes for [10...29] damage. (Attribute: Bow Mastery)
Glowing Cut Dagger Attack. Hit your target once, dealing [15...45] damage and cause the target to burn for [1...3] seconds.
"May the gods give me strengh" Prayer. Kneel for 3 seconds. If not interrupted, the gods have heard your prayer and gives you +[5...20] Armor. (Attribute: Survival Techniques)
The average armor for the hunter should be as low as a caster. This because they can both run and shoot at the same time, so this is to lower the amount of ppl who uses this technique to favor themselves and be as good as unable to kill. I think the health could be lowered to about 450 aswell.
So... what do you guys think?
Post a reply, any comment, good or bad, is accepted by me.
If ya dont like it Ill just come back with some other idea that pop up in my head

Weak? you just used a bunch of the same weapon and abilities as exsisting classes. Only new thing here is moving wile attacking, which would most functionally be done wile on a mount, of which you didn't include.....
The ability to move and attack with a ranged weapon should definetly require the combination of this class and Ranger or Paragon, so that's really overpowered to give it a bow, and daggers, besides being totally unoriginal.

Uh.. not really seeing anything unique or special about it.
My question is please describe how it is differnt from a Ra/Assin or Assin/Ra ?
Keep work at it. It take some pratice, and its fun and enjoyable to have creative exercise too.

This is where it starts to get bad. Making a class by taking an existing character and adding daggers is bad. baaaaad.

Ok. This is just so incredibly imbalanced it's not funny. Can we throw it in the garbage can already?

You do know daggers, swords and axes have exactly the same attack speed, right?

y helo thar. mii naem iz Wilderness survival.
A typical skill for each attribute (Note that Nature Powers wont have any skills.):
[b]Attributes without skills are bad. Only Soul reaping could take it, since it was a pretty strong effect in itself. Yours is just horribly overpowered.[/b[

What the hell. Why would you do a whopping 29 damage while running?
"May the gods give me strengh" Prayer. Kneel for 3 seconds. If not interrupted, the gods have heard your prayer and gives you +[5...20] Armor. (Attribute: Survival Techniques)
Or, you can just use... what about "Watch yourself"? It gives you the same amount of armor, has no casting time, can't be interrupted, and it's even for your whole party.

Oh yeah, let's make their armor low since they can run and shoot arrows doing 29 damage at the same time.

I'm not trying to flame. I'm trying to show why this isn't a good idea.
